Captain Keith Gover

Commanding Officer Fort Vancouver Composite Squadron

Capt Keith Gover is the Commanding Officer of the Fort Vancouver Composite Squadron in Vancouver Washington.   He has been involved in Civil Air Patrol for over 25 years serving primarily in Operations and Emergency Services.  He is a Mission Pilot and Type 3 Incident Commander.  He has held positions as the Washington Wing Southwest Group Operations Officer and the Emergency Services Officer for the Washington All Mission Academy (WAMA).  He is also a qualified glider two pilot and auto tow evaluator working at many local and national flight academies.  He has attended both the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (AFRCC) Search and Rescue Management Course and the National Inland SAR Planning Course.

Before coming to CAP, he served as a Gunner's Mate on a Spruance-class Destroyer during Operation Desert Storm where he participated as a boarding team member of the Maritime Interception Force (MIF) in the Red Sea .  After completing 5 years of Naval service, he returned to college first at Clark College in Vancouver then at Washington State University in Pullman, WA.  He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineerging (BSEE) in 1997.  Since then he has worked with various companies doing computer chip design and verification including several years in Tokyo Japan.
