Fort Vancouver Composite Squadron
Fort Vancouver Composite Squadron is an active Civil Air Patrol squadron of the Washington Wing, comprised of dedicated Senior Officers and a Cadet Corps that strive to fulfill our three primary missions: Emergency Services, Cadet Programs and Aerospace Education.
WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA
Wreaths Across America is a program that our unit participates in that honors those who have served and given their all for our country. This is demonstrated by the placement of remembrance wreaths every year at the Vancouver Barracks Post Cemetery. While the wreaths are placed only once a year, the education and sponsorship continues throughout the year. As of today, we have had 130 remembrance wreaths to be placed on Saturday, December 14, 2024 sponsored through our WAA website! Our goal this year is to have at least 500 wreaths sponsored. If you would like to honor one of these heroes at our local cemetery, or even for a specific person/cemetery, please link to our WAA Page: https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/142979/Overview. Also, please feel free to share this request with friends and on Facebook.

About CAP
Founded on Dec. 1, 1941, to mobilize the nation's civilian aviation resources for national defense service, CAP has evolved into a premier public service organization that still carries out emergency service missions when needed — in the air and on the ground.
As a Total Force partner and Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol is there to search for and find the lost, provide comfort in times of disaster and work to keep the homeland safe.
Civil Air Patrol’s missions for America are many, and today’s adults and cadets perform their duties with the same vigilance as its founding members — preserving CAP’s 75-year legacy of service while maintaining its commitment to nearly 1,500 communities nationwide.
